At the guidance of public health officials and in compliance with the State and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Tier 3 Mitigations, the Village of Wauconda is taking preventative measures to help limit the spread of COVID-19. 
In order to help limit the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the exposure of the Village’s public facilities to this disease, effective on Monday, November 23rd and until further notice, the Village Hall (located at 101 N. Main Street) and the Community Development Department (located at 109 W. Bangs Street) will be closed to the public and suspending all in-person over-the-counter services, including utility bill payments, building/zoning permits, and all licensing and registration services.  These services will remain accessible to the public via phone, email, and drop-boxes located at each facility.
Anyone wishing to pick up a Candidacy Petition Packet for the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election may contact Deputy Village Clerk Sherry Davies at sdavies@wauconda-il.gov.
 
Utility Billing
Residents making utility bill payments during this time may use one of the following options:
  • By Mail: Check or money order payments can be sent to the mailing address listed on the bill:

  • Drop Box: Check or money order payments can be left in either of the 2 drop-boxes located at the Village Hall – 101 N. Main Street.  If using the drop box, please include your account number on your check.  NO CASH PAYMENTS.  Drop boxes are located to the right of the front entrance and in the rear parking lot behind the building.

  • Auto Debit: Residents that are enrolled in auto debit will continue to have their payment withdrawn from their account.

  • GreenPay: Residents that have signed-up with the GreenPay system may still make payments online via credit card.

Building/Zoning Permits
 
Residents applying for building and/or zoning permits may download application forms from the Village of Wauconda website (www.wauconda-il.gov) under the Community Development Department section.  Completed applications may be submitted via email to cd@wauconda-il.gov or dropped-off in the door mail-slot at the Community Development Department – 109 W. Bangs Street.  Permit inspection services will continue during this time.
