John began his career in Schaumburg School District 54 first as a Teacher, then Principal and finally Assistant Superintendent. In 1994 he became Superintendent of Wauconda School District and retired in 2004. John continued to serve as Interim School Superintendent and Interim High School Principal in various Lake County School Districts from 2004-2013. Most recently, he was a consultant with the Lake County Regional Office of Education.
