The Village of Wauconda established a subcommittee of the Natural Resources Committee to review recommendations of the 2023 Bangs Lake Study completed by Integrated Lakes Management (ILM). The Subcommittee meets as-needed to review and make recommendations to the Natural Resources Committee. Agenda items anticipated for this year include:
- Aquatic Plant Treatment and Harvesting
- Shoreline Condition and Restoration
- Channel Conditions and Sediment Loads
- Lake Use Regulations
The Subcommittee consists of nine members with one Village Board Trustee serving as Chair. Members are as follows:
- As Chair, Trustee David Geary
- Representing Wauconda Park District, Commissioner James Carr or alternate
- Representing a lakefront HOA, Lynne Reilly from Lakepointe or alternate
- Representing a lakefront business, Brittany Barth from Lindy's or alternate
