National Night Out

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. It also provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Millions of neighbors take part in NNO across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas celebrates on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more.

Wauconda Police Department is committed to making our neighborhoods safer and a more caring place to live. Join the Wauconda Police Department, Public Works, Wauconda Fire District, Wauconda Township, Wauconda Area Library, Advocate Healthcare and many other organizations on the first Tuesday in August from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for this FREE event, full of emergency and utility vehicles, games, food, raffles, prizes, music and more!

The event takes place on Main Street between Bangs Street and Illinois 176. Parking is available at Village Hall, municipal lot, and  adjacent roads throughout the downtown area.

National Night Out is a FREE event for the community, made possible by the generosity of our sponsors and donors. If you are interested in donating to the event, please contact Allie Guerrero by email aguerrero@waucondapolice.com or by calling (847) 526-2421.2023 NNO
