Brush Pick-Up & Leaf Collection
The Village will coordinate 2 Village-wide residential brush collection events.
Spring Brush Pick-Up will be performed for all residents in the corporate limits of the Village starting May 16 at 7:00 am.
Fall Brush Pick-Up will be performed for all residents in the corporate limits of the Village starting October (TBD) at 7:00 am.
General Brush Pick-Up Guidelines
- Twigs and branches must be no larger than 4 inches in diameter.
- All brush must be stacked in the same direction when placed curbside.
- Brush should not be bagged, bundled or tied.
- Brush left by a contractor (hired by HOA, etc.) to do tree trimming in a subdivision/area will not be picked up.
Village of Wauconda residents that would like to participate in the Brush Pick up Program should have brush placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday morning. The contractor will pick-up brush throughout the corporate limits of the Village of Wauconda, however once they have completed the pick-up on your street, they will not return.
Leaf CollectionLakeshore Recycling Systems leaf vacuuming will begin the second week of October and continue through the second week of December. Residents are asked to rake the leaves within three feet of the curb for pick up by Prairieland Disposal the day of your garbage service collection. Leaves should not be bagged and should not be placed in the gutter or street.
