Path of Honor

Wauconda_Path of Honor LogoThe Village of Wauconda proudly supports our Service Men and Women; past, present, and future. As part of the original concept for the 9/11 Memorial, the Village of Wauconda has approved plans for a pathway joining the 9/11 Memorials and Memorial Park. Memorial Park was built in 1948 and honors veterans of both World Wars, while the 9/11 Memorial was built in 2015 and pays tribute to the September 11th victims. The new path will allow patrons to also commemorate service members, past and present, of other conflicts. The pathway, which has been named Path of Honor, will consist of a winding sidewalk, vibrant landscaping, benches, and a monument memorializing service members.
